VET students to provide them with crucial AI and coding competencies through hands-on, challenge-based learning with chess, significantly enhancing their employability and preparing them for the demands of the digital labor market.

VET school directors making them the protagonists of their VET institutions modernisation, the fostering of networking among VET providers and offering a a new training pattern to make the VET offer more in line with the job market needs
Comprehensive methodology guiding VET teachers in using Chess and problem based learning approaches with VET students to develop a more aware and practical oriented comprehension of principles of coding and artificial intelligence and reinforce their transversal key competences.
Online platform featuring real-life chess problem based scenarios to engage VET students in proposing and solving challenges facing and training an artificial intelligence based opponent.
Exemplary implementation of a Hackathon, a transnational learning by doing experience through which VET Students, are challenged in both the aspect of solving and evaluating real chess scenarios and that of training an AI to solve chess problems.
Representatives of all the project partners institutions participated in the meeting Florence (IT) on 26 - 27 March 2026. During the meeting the contents of the Methodology addressed to VET trainers to guide themin making full use of Chess with VET students were peer reviewed. A full presentation of the AI based platform for playing Chess was also delivered and discussed.
